Paroles de Perfect

Soft rain echoes softly overhead
I lie here, awake, thinking of you
This insomnia, tormenting, contaminates me
As I contemplate your view

Am I everything in your perfect world?
Am I even a subconscious thought?
Your voice, cajoling, is tempting me
My being, now distraught

I strive to be your anything
My longing for you augments
I wander the depths of reality
Is my preception truly content?

I examine myself, my mind, my heart
In conclusion, I find I'm deserving
Will you submit to this perfect match?
Or your heart are you further conserving?

I gaze, unmoving, at your perfect face
Lost in your dark brown eyes
This stagnant hope, restraining me
Will eventually become my demise

Your confusing actions perturb me so I constantly awake in the middle of the night
Seemingly wary of your thoughts
Assuringly, I convince myself
Your existence alone have I sought

Your features, your actions, unquestioningly convey
For me, your heart was sent
But if logic and fate refuse to take toll
I venture blindly into torment
