Darker Skies Paroles

I hang alone on lonely nights,
and kick and gasp for air.
I bend a branch to test it's strength,
And climb upon the chair.

Loop and loop, it's life sometimes,
So take it as it comes.
My foot is on the edge tonight,
I thought you were the one.

I punched the clock on 20 years,
I guess that was enough.....
Enough to make me lose my mind,
and settle for the worst.

I fall the bitch to irony,
and smile my final smile.
I twist my feet to settle in,
and jump into the sky. and free from darker skies.
