Beckoning, “Come on, let's go.”
I didn't have the mind to say no.
So off we went, free as the wind, without a care.
If anyone saw us, what they saw were smiles,
Smiling as we went almost everywhere,
Joking, laughing, tossing off a playful glare.
When I left I was wishing for another while.
