Don't you ever want to be far from here?

So I jump into my car
Miles away from where you are
It's not like I didn't ask you to come with me

The sun went down hours and hours ago
Still I haven't stopped my flight
Under stars I start to feel like I'm home

Summer has this effect on me
Bathed in starlight I can't leave
Even thought my whole life is miles away

And when the night comes rolling in

That is of course if you are wishing that I was

We would never be so far apart
If you'd kept me close to your heart Changes nothing at all from where I'm standing

So I choose to drive away
There's nothing left here to make me stay
I'll be searching for the place that feels like home
