it's a shame what folks pay good money for
some folks they like shootin deer
the got them big ol' trucks and their camouflage gear
but i reckon they're workin' too hard
i never take my gun out of my back yard
there ain't no fat but there's plenty of meat on them
you can laugh at a fella like me for eatin' 'em

'cause the best hunting is right here in my neighborhood
now my dad lived til he was ninety two
and he ate squirrels just like i do
never saw a doctor never took no pills
just ate pickled peaches and squirrels

i hear in france the french eat frogs
