Paroles de Sparrow/Oak

And we will both be branches on the once Sparrow/Oak tree
With deepest roots and fingers in earth below the sea
And the wind will howl and we drop our screaming leaves
And all of our oak seeds will be stolen by theives

And the sparrow/oak tree
It bends to me
She came and spoke and stole all my clothes
And the sparrow/oak tree
Planted a seed
That grew into a forest over time
And the sparrow/oak tree
Will cradle me
When i am rocking back and forth on the edge
And the sparrow/oak tree
Will recede
To the might of those who try to move the mountains

And we will both build nests inside the once Sparrow/oak tree
With trash that i have bought and you have borrowed from me
And the rain will come and wash our houses down towards the river
And in the water, in the cold, together we will shiver

And the sparrow/oak tree
Ran back to me
Said, 'here's your clothes back, thanks for the show' Will cradle me
When i am rocking back and forth on the edge
And the sparrow/oak tree
Might recede
To the might of those who try to move the mountains
