Paroles de Drywood

We can just sit in the park

And amaze ourselves

With games
That people don't know we play

Like old times

We were young

And not a worry in the world

But, now all the murderers are out to get us

And people are cruel

This globe it spins on an empty space

But, that doesn't mean that we're going nowhere

So, soak up what's left of a magnificent childhood
So, the world might be ugly, but we're still ascending

Into clouds that we've formed

Through the sky that we've drawn

All the cars

They slow down

To gaze at the castle we've built

To hide the fear and the guilt that we share

It's a way to pretend that we are really young again

And create living art, to tear this sadness apart and free ourselves

Because what's wrong with hiding?

So, forget all the downsides, of growing and aging

Think of it as learning and turning the page to

See what is next in this book that were reading

Under the twilight that might just be raining

But, somehow we'll stay dry

Even if were lied to

So, soak up what's left of a magnificent childhood

An array of forgiveness was lined on the dry wood

It's not nearly ending, it's a fortress were building

So the world might be ugly, but we're still ascending

Into clouds that we've formed

Through the sky that we've drawn
