Black Sea Dahu

The Dragon
In these ruins overgrown
I've been walking on my own
In these woods rising from debris
Then I see the head of a lizard made of stone
And here I am
The wizard who gave it form
Now these green eyes of mine shine on it
Sort it out
Shaped by hands of time
Wearing a crown of sharp twigs
Moss and slumber
Eye-lids heavy like my heart
Aaah
A creature born of earth and rain
Huhh
(Huhh)
With eye-lids heavy like the heart that bears the pain
It turned to me and said “I felt you from miles away
I taste the air with my tongue for the dead or dying prey.”
“So tell me why you wander the edge of life, my magical child?”
Now these fern eyes of mine pale like the water
And as day fades I unfold
Like a wild river carving its bed
I have torn at my soul
To have a place in the world
Eye-lids heavy like my heart
Aaah
A creature born of earth and rain
Huhh
Huhh
