what of our calling? and what of the penance paying the price for our sin? we are not called to complacence. of flesh lived to serve our spirit. these are not the roads that Christ traveled. these are not the dreams of Paul for the church. we are to cry out to God for life. every breath is to be breathed of Him. i stand barefoot on this cold hard pavement. with nothing to offer the Author of my faith. and yet i question His intentions. and yet i see how close i can get to sin without touching. take up arms and take up your cross. because life is calling and it leaves no room for compromise. a mockery of perfection. that we take for granted the purpose we've been given. this meaning of life. betrayed for the sake of this art and our praise.
