(x2) Went to the gig, got there early. I saw the support band Chris Duke and the Royals, is what they were called. If I had to rate them out of ten, I'd give them a naught because... Guitarist can't solo, the trumpet sounds flat, the back-ups resemble dueling dying cats, the drummer needs so badly to use a click track, the bass player's far too busy eating snacks. (what the hell do they sound like anyway?) Don't forget about the singer; to my ears he brings pain, attempting notes way out of his vocal range. (they're nothing new) You get the idea that they pretty much suck, not even saved by looks 'cause I couldn't call them hot.
