Paroles de Landmine

I'm sick of people listening to their own voices, and too constrained in this open ears routine. Because it wasn't the boats that got us here, or the cars that take us away, it's the clouds that might as well be spies, passing your sins up past the sky, maybe a bloody dove would make a better ride, a holy drive to nowhere. If you'd just be quiet, you wouldn't take yourself so seriously. That's all I'm saying, but what do I know? So while the middlemen are holding out, the street hides receipts that say this kid, he's got nothing to say. But I'm in it for the pay, worth the gold the smile's filled with, I'm in it for the pay. If you'd just be quiet, you wouldn't take yourself so seriously. So how important is one boy's brain, when he's too concerned that it's the girl who's gone insane? We've all strayed from the seeds from whence we came, and all placed a landmine under a lover's pillow, so why place a label on the man with no tongue, when you've got nothing real to say? So, why did you say it?
