Just like the pain, so momentary,
That I'm a stranger to alarm.

So I'll just sit outside the glass again,
And take the splinter of the cause.
Withing the chill, I find the rain,
As a replacement for my loss.

If ever I grasp the thread again,
To pull away at will...
All that I get are glimpses anymore,
And a remembrance of the chill.
"Take in the wine again", I tell myself,
But still it has no charm.
Just like the pain, so momentary,
That I'm a stranger to alarm.

How to console, my heart of this torment?
All heaven's gifts in the kiss of the torrent.
And as the moon cuts through the storm, So if you're there, if you love this despair,
Forgive me, or not, as I pray for the end of the world.
