Growing In
Need a change, trade in my affections for a smile
Sometimes it's cruel to be kind
So i take the strain, and i hang out with my baby for a while
Woman's body, child's mind.
Well i'm searching for some evidence she's telling me she's mine
Her head is lacking residence, it's been empty for some time

If you don't know where you're going, does it matter where you've been?
Because some of us are growing up honey, and some are growing in, iiinnn, iiiiinnnnnnn yeah.

Now she's afraid, afraid of being old but young inside,
had a child as a child
Nice easy trade, her slow boat for the closest rapid ride, tired of the meek and mild.

I'm searching a downcharm, she's showing me the way,
i don't know how to say;

If you don't know where you're going, does it matter where you've been?
Because i said, some of us are growing up honey, and some are growing in, iiinnn, iiiinnn

Your eyes are turning inside out now, you're not sticking to the tracks
So get on your feet or lose a beat, then there's just no turning back , no turning baaackkk yeah

La da di da da deeeyy...

I'm desperate for attention, she's showing me the door
I don't know no more

If you don't know where you're going, does it matter where you've been?
Because i said, some of us are growing up, showing up, blowing up everything, and some of us are growing iiiiinnn.

La da di da da deeeyy...
